Altered Picture Frame
Michael’s has these wood picture frames for $1.00 which is an unbeatable price and they’re perfect for altering any way you want. I started by applying some Kaiser Craft newsprint paper onto the wood frame with decoupage glue. I then applied some gesso which softens the colors. I mixed some pale blue acrylic paint with stucco texture gel and randomly applied it in different areas. The upper right and lower left corner texture stamps were made using heat embossing. I then decorated the frame with ivory scalloped lace, flowers, rhinestones, a painted metal corner, a painted chipboard swirl and wood Kaiser Craft heart. The chipboard letters have been splashed with some glass beads gel. The frame edges were brushed with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink to give it a more vintage shabby look. The beautiful baby is little Noah at age 3 months.
