New Beginnings Tag Album and Box

Hi! This project was made to not only highlight Pion Design’s “New Beginnings” collection, but the awesome embellishments from the Crafteezee Shop. You can also find this post here on the Crafteezee DesignTeam Blog. I moved several years ago to a different part of Oklahoma and am still transitioning. As a result, I am no longer selling products for now, and have found that Crafteezee is an amazing shopping experience with lots of great crafting products that are right down my alley! I would encourage you to visit their shop even if you live outside of the U.K. as they have a wonderful selection of Pion Design papers, embellishments, and other fun crafting products.

I made the box to fit around the album. The box is made of chipboard and completely covered with the lovely lavender papers from Pion Design. To make the project even more special, I made a pull-out drawer on the base.

This simple mini album was made by cutting out tags and then placing pockets with pull-out cards between each tag before binding the album together with a two-band spine.

The gorgeous lace, trim, buttons, hardware, papers, and Scrapiniec chipboard for this project can be found in the Crafteezee shop.  I’ve included links below for the products.

Best wishes for you to have a great week ahead!

Hi Amanda, I’m glad you like this project – Thank you! Making a platform and a box to hold the album is my favorite way to present mini-albums. It just makes for a great storage place for them. Have a great week! Tara

And the tutorials for it? Where to buy

    1. Tara Brown

Hi Myriam, I don’t have a tutorial for this project, but it was simple to make. I just cut out tags and pockets for the mini album and used a two-piece band to bind the album together. Then I measured the finished mini album and constructed a box to hold it. I would encourage you to make one and just let me know if you have questions about the construction and I will be very happy to help you. Tara

Oh my goodness Tara, you´ve just done it again, haven´t you? I´m as always stunned with the beauty, that you always gets out of these adorable papers and the wonderful projects, you alaways comes up with, and this one here is no different. It´s absolut amazing and soo sooo beautiful. I´ve been drooling allover my keyboard ever since I first saw this on the Crafteeze blog this morning, and I´m completely sold on this project. I was looking on their website to see, if I could find these small metal embellisments, that you´ve used on the side of the tags, but can´t seem to find them anywhere there, so can you please tell me, where you found the, as I´m sooo in love with those???
Thanks sooo much again for sharing your fabulous ideas with us all here, I just absolutely LOVE it. Have a wonderful day and week ahead here now.

Thanks Tara. I have ordered the tags and the Clips, but won’t get them till early July. The joys of being in Canada! I will definitely ask if I have any problems. The only real challenge I can foresee is the shaped top part of the box. Thanks again!

Wow this looks amazing. Love everything about it.

Hi Miranda, I’m glad you like this project. I normally like to construct boxes to house all the mini albums I make – especially if I am giving them as gifts. It just makes for a better presentation plus provides good protection. Thank you for taking time to comment – I am grateful! Have a very good week! Tara
