Graduated File Box

Hello! I have made this graduated file box with cardstock and then covered it with Pion Design’s new collection Four Seasons of Fairies.  This soft blue shade is so beautiful and the matching printed fairy images are adorable!  Be sure and check out this post on the Feb. 9  Pion Design Blog.

I made this project with pockets and removable graduated-size index cards using matching Pion Design Palette cardstock.  The graduated sizes give easier visual identification of each card.  I can think of lots of uses for this, but designed it as a recipe box.  This always makes a special gift from the heart for wedding showers, housewarmings, and birthdays.  There are small hidden strong magnets on the underside of the papers to hold the front flap firmly in place.  These magnets allow the project to be carried by the handle.  Other options for closure would be to use a clasp, a string and button envelope closure, or a ribbon.

The front flap was made using a Die’sire die and the beautiful intricate heart on the underside of the flap was made with a Tattered Lace die.
