Here is another project made with the beautiful green and brown Pion Design papers of “A Day in May.” The papers and images from this collection just ooze vintage elegance. This project can be found on the Pion Design blog here. The Pazzles cutting file for this sweet mailbox can be found here. I found a 12″x12″ sheet of chicken wire at Hobby Lobby and cut it to fit the mailbox sides and front and then painted it gold. I really like the look of the chicken wire as a decorative element!
All the edges of the flowers were painted gold to blend with the metal elements of the project.
Pion Design is releasing another beautiful paper collection called Shoreline Treasures. This nautical theme collection has breathtaking vintage blues with delicate matching maritime images:
Enjoy the day!
This is another card I made for Pazzles to present at CHA that uses Spellbinders cutting files. This card is being featured on the Pion Design Blog here today and was made with the lovely pink and blue papers of Pion Design’s Flower Frames collection. The Spellbinders cutting files are available through the Pazzles Craft Room here. The WPC cutting file for this 3-step card style can be found here and the SVG cutting file can be found here. The manual template is below. Originally, this card template was on the Joanna Sheen blog and my understanding is that it was designed by Sheila Weaver, but it has been removed and I don’t know where the original template can be found now. The template below includes cut lines and score lines. The base card measure 12″ x 6″ and the piece that joins with this measures 6″ x 5 3/8″. I’ve actually seen this card style many times, but my inspiration came from the talented Marianne here.
The bold colors of red and black together are a great color combination for Valentine’s Day. The black lace just adds to the effect! I started with Pion Design’s new red Papaver (Dutch for poppy) from their Flower Frames collection paired with black Bazzill Bling cardstock. The heart box cutting file came from Pazzles. The handle was made using a Spellbinders Moroccan Accents border. The smaller dimensional hearts on this first box were made with a Nellie Snellen die set. I made this for the Pion Design Team and the post can be found here.
This second box is very similar except that it uses a Spellbinders digital cutting file cut with the Pazzles Inspiration. The below heart box was featured on the Pazzles blog here.
The Spellbinders cutting collections can be found here.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
