Happy New Year! I want to start the year off by giving you the template for a wonderful triple pocket card! These cards were designed to have three pockets for pull-out tags or cards. One of my favorite things to give friends for the holidays or for birthdays, are handmade projects with recipe cards or photos for a personal touch. So having three pocket cards provides plenty of space with six sides. I’ve included a template below on how to construct this pocket card using one sheet of card stock. The second card was made using this template, but the other three cards were made a little larger, requiring two sheets of card stock. You will need to make additional tabs if you make the card larger.

Triple Pocket Card

Make the tabs 1/2″. Fold the scored lines but then lay it flat. Take the left piece and fold it up and over the middle piece and adhere the tabs. Then take the right piece and fold it under the middle piece and adhere the tabs. Now take the bottom piece and fold it up and over the middle piece and adhere. Once the card is constructed, you can make three cards or tags to fit inside the pockets.

These cards are also being featured on the 1/7/2016 Pion Design Blog here. I used several of their paper collections: Paris Flea Market, Linnaeus Botanical Journal, To My Valentine, From Grandma’s Attic-Tinted, Pion Design Palette, and Days of Winter.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and blessed New Year!

This Carousel Swing project tries to capture the bygone days of childhood when there was anticipation for county fair and carnival rides such as this one. We’re approaching the time of year for fairs in this part of the country, and I still go every year! I always look forward to the tasty funnel cakes and fried cheesecake that are so famous at the fair.
This project is functional with pull-out drawers on the base. It’s made with poster board, and chipboard. I’m enclosing the templates for this project along with instructions for how to construct it for those of you interested in making it. Be sure and scale and print each of the templates at 100%. It’s a challenging project requiring lots of time to make, but the end result is sure to be something that will be dearly treasured!

I’ve made another one of these using Pion Design’s new Christmas papers and will post it soon to include the WPC cutting file.
Best wishes for everyone to have a very happy day!

Hello! These cards are being featured on the Pion Design blog today here. A pocket was added to these Spring easel cards to hold tags and notes. I used Pion Design Palette for the base of the card and for all the die cuts and then used the lovely Paris Flea Market to cover the cards. The edges of the card were decorated with a Spellbinders die called “Flourish Trim” adding a fancy finish to the cards. Many wishes for a happy day!
