Hi! Once again, I’m a little late in posting this as it has already been featured on the Pion Design blog here. The project features Pion Design’s beautiful Christmas collection “The Night Before Christmas.” I constructed the box from chipboard and then made an easel card the same size as the box and adhered it to the top of the box. The box has a slide-out drawer and makes a great box-with-card all-in-one combination!
Many wishes for a fantastic day!
My first project with Pion Design’s new paper Collection “My Precious Daughter” is this Mini Album Box with Drawer. This new paper collection is so very beautiful! The pinks and purples are irresistible.
This project was constructed of chipboard and then covered with pink papers from this collection. This project can also be found on Pion Design’s blog here.
I hope everyone has a terrific weekend and week!
I have a wonderful project to share with you today. I designed this calendar cube project specifically for the Pion Design Team so you can find the manual template and tutorial for it on the Pion Design blog here. Download the WPC cutting file here. The SVG cutting file can be found here. The cube measures 3 1/4″ square and has 12 slots, 3 on each side, for each month of the year. Small shelves inside the cube are positioned to support the calendar inserts. The cube is decorated with the new Shoreline Treasures blue papers from Pion Design. Each of the monthly inserts has a calendar on one side, and a gorgeous maritime vintage image from this collection on the other side. When positioned on the top of the cube, both sides are visible. I think this would make an excellent handmade gift and one that would be treasured. Although it was designed to function as a unique calendar, you could also use it for recipes, photos, Bible verses, schedules, etc.
The inserts were made using a Spellbinders die made longer than the insert to stop the insert at the edge of the slot when inserted. Here is a photo of the cube without decoration:
