Paper Crafting Projects

Tea For Two

Hello!  This papercraft tea set was made using Pion Design’s new Scent of Lavender collection and can be found on their April 28 blog here.  I used cutting files from Pazzles that can be found here.

The tea cups are filled with real purple flowers and the project is such a wonderful centerpiece for a formal tea or lunch. I put a transparent plastic liner inside each of the paper teacups to hold the soil and flowers and just sprinkle a little water on them daily for freshness.  It’s simple, but is a fun and elegant project.

The top of the teapot lifts off and can be used as a box or to hold more flowers.  I chose to leave it as a box to store sachets of loose tea leaves and small infusers.

Now I want to introduce you to a preview of Pion Design’s newest, upcoming masculine paper line which is sure to be just as amazing as all of their other masterpiece collections!

”There are places where time stands still and moments of everyday life have been preserved for future generations, and with this in mind Pion Design proudly presents a preview of our upcoming collection Mister Tom’s Treasures.”Preview Mister Tom

As these Spring days unfold, take time to reflect on the beauty around you and the many blessings of life.

Tara again you have done outstanding and who would have thought that paper made cups are holding the flowers. The teapot is exceptional. I guess I just dont know how far to go with the bling. Because what you have done is Outstanding!

Hi Ezziej, thank you for your lovely comment – you are so very kind! This project makes a great centerpiece, especially with the real blooming flowers. I hope you have a great week and upcoming weekend! Tara

  2. Tara, your work is amazing and such an inspiration to me! Can you tell me where you get your flat back pearls? I buy mine on eBay, ( Craftbuddy) in sheets of 1500. When I cut them into strips you can still see the plastic backing on either side. I’ve driven myself crazy trying to find them in bulk where you can just pull them off in strips. TIA.

Hi Cheryl, I buy all my flat back pearl strips at Hobby Lobby when they go on sale. They are in the gemstones section of the paper crafting area and are a Paper Studio product. Thank you so much for your nice comment – it is very much appreciated! Tara

I really wish I had your imagination to think out new projects and make them all work sooo perfect always, and it all looks completely out of this world amazing. Thanks so much for always being such a wonderful inspiration to all of us here, and I simply can´t wait to see, what outstanding work, you´re going to make for those men of ours, when you get these new amazing male papers in your hands, but it can only be fabulous, that thing is certain in my mind.
Have a wonderful week-end ahead here soon and lots of fun, and hope you´re safe there after I saw about the tornado in your city again yesterday???

    • Tara Brown says:

Hello Maryanne, thank you once again for your thoughtful and oh-so-very-kind comments! You are so dear to me! No tornadoes where I live thankfully, but this is certainly the season for them. Hope you and your family are well in Denmark. I think of you often!

Hi Tara, I have followed your website for many years now and you never cease to amaze me by your incredible talent. To say I am blown away is an understatement, I love everything you do. I live in the UK and wondered if you could tell me what machine I need to use the cutting files that make your extraordinary beautiful designs. Thanks Theresa x

    • Tara Brown says:

Hi Theresa, First, I want to thank you for following my blog and for taking the time to write such a nice comment! I have a Pazzles Inspiration as well as a Silhouette Cameo. Many of my cutting files are designed by myself, and others can be found on the Pazzles and Silhouette websites. Depending on the project, I will always include a link to access the cutting file. For this partiular project, I included a link to the Pazzles website for access to the cutting file. I hope you have a great week/weekend! Thanks again! Tara
