    Hi Tara,

So enjoying your creations. This is another amazing project you’ve created. I was thinking of making this with a Christmas theme in mind. I would love t have the svg file for this…any ideas when you might be posting those?

    1. Tara Brown

Hello! I am in the process of acquiring a program that will enable me to offer my cutting files in SVG format. I make all my cutting files in WPC format since I am used to using the software. SVG should be available within the next few weeks!. Thank you for your comment – have a great week! Tara

    Hi Tara!!!
I have a question, are all measure reals? I am trying to do and some pieces do not fit me, for example the pieces 1 and 2.

    Thanks!! 😉

    1. Tara Brown

Hi Sara, It is important that you set your printer to scale each downloaded piece at 100% before you print them out, otherwise, the different pieces will not be the right size! Hope this helps! Tara

Bonjour Tara ! Merci pour vos beaux projets ! Cependant, je ne peux pas ouvrir ce fichier wpc avec scal… Comporte-t-il une erreur ? Merci d’avance pour votre réponse.
    Sylvie (France)
Hi Tara ! thanks for your beautifuls projects ! Also, i can’t open THIS wpc file with scal… Is it ok ?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

    1. Tara Brown

Hi Sissi, many apologies as I have been slow to make available an SVG cutting file. I have promised to do this. I will see if I can purchase the program to be able to do this this weekend and hopefully make the SVG file available soon. Thank you for your comment!

  22. Brenda

Wow!! This typewriter is amazing. I would also love an SVG cutting file. Any idea as to when an svg will be available?

    1. Tara Brown

Hi Brenda – I apologize to you and everyone else about the delay on making an SVG file available. I am preparing for a move in the near future so many of my crafting items are packed and stored, and so I have put off this task for the moment. One of these days!

  23. Maureen

Lovely. I eagerly await the svg file. Hope your move went/will go smoothly.

  24. Lilias Farrell

totally amazing work do you know where I could get the cutting files from many thanks LIlias

  25. Lilias Farrell

Hi just seen your comment there after posting about cutting files so sorry

  26. Miranda Slagboom-de Groot

I just love your work. I’m going to make the typewriter with some friends. Could you tell me when the SVG file will be available?

    1. Tara Brown

Hi Miranda, I am currently in the middle of a big move so I have put a big majority of my crafting on hold for a few months since most of my crafting supplies are packed and in storage. In the mean time, my understanding is that there are ways to convert WPC file format to SVG so you may want to do an Internet search to find the conversion method. I don’t know how it’s done but I have had others tell me they have done it. Once I have moved and am settled, I am planning on buying a program that will allow me to offer all my cutting files in different formats. I apologize for not doing this up to this point. Another option would be to just download the template and cut the pieces by hand. It’s not difficult. Thanks for your comment and I would certainly love to see your typewriter once you have completed it! Tara

  27. Miranda Slagboom-de Groot

Thanks for your response. We will cut it by hand. That’s fine. Good luck with the move.

  28. KIM MANNINO

I love your work. I see your link for svg files…. but all I get is an image. I don’t see svg files to download.

    1. Tara Brown

Hi Kim, Thank you for the feedback. I will contact Pazzles on Monday to find out what the problem is. I purchased their new software that allows conversion from WPC to SVG, so I’m not sure why the conversion was not successful. Check back next week and hopefully it will be fixed! Thanks again! Tara

    2. Tara Brown

Kim – try right clicking on the link and save the file to your downloads. Then open the file in your machine software. Let me know if this works for you.

    3. Tara Brown

I did contact Pazzles and this is the message I received from them:
“SVG files are a little tricky. Because they are not proprietary to any one software, there is no standard for some of the details of an SVG. We have tried to create our SVG as close as possible to an Adobe SVG. Depending on which software your customers are using they may have different settings in their software that could cause issues.” Several other people have commented that they are not able to open the SVG files I’ve provided, however, there are some who have given me news that they have been able to open them successfully. Several people have let me know that they have opened them successfully in their Silhouette Cameo. If you have a Cameo, my understanding is that you have to have the Silhouette “Designer” edition software to be able to successfully import SVG files. Do you have the “Designer” software? If not, you will probably need this to be able to import files. I hope this information will help. Have a good week! Tara

  29. Ms Joey

Hi Tara, I tried the right click , save and then to open it in my Silhouette software but this is the message that I got : The file type you are attempting to access is not supported. So I will wait to see what you find out on Monday from Pazzles. I am so excited that you so generously made this file. You ROCK!!!!

  30. Ms Joey

Hi Tara, First let me say, THANK YOU so much for getting the answer from Pazzles. I so appreciate that. Secondly, thank you so very much for getting the possible answer from people who have actually been able to open the svg files in the Cameo.
Yes, I do have the Silhouette Cameo but I just noticed that I did not install the Designer Edition Software and that is probably why I couldn’t not open it. I will get that installed in the next week or so, when I return to Vancouver, USA and then I will try again to open it.
I will let you know what happens as soon as I get that install and make a new attempt.
Thank you again so much for your follow up and I will definitely be following up with you again.
    Have a great week,
    Ms Joey
