Hello!  I’m excited to share my first project with you using Pion Design’s new Paris Flea Market collection.  These papers are breathtakingly beautiful and are perfect for Paris-themed vintage projects!  I designed and created this typewriter for the Pion Design blog and you can find the project on their blog here.

The project was made using an unusual material – poster board!  It’s about 1/4″ thick. I started by making a rectangular box and then designed the typewriter around the box.  I drew the different pieces of the typewriter onto the poster board and then used a craft knife to carefully cut out the pieces.  I doubled the poster board on several of the typewriter pieces to make them thicker.  The pieces were all covered with the gorgeous paper and then were glued together.  The typewriter keys are plastic spacers in different lengths that I found at a local hardware store.  I wrapped pink paper around them and then used black round alphabet epoxy 3D stickers. The black ruler on top was cut out using my Silhouette Cameo and one of their cutting files.  The top lifts off and reveals an ample space that can hold a small mini album or whatever keepsake you would like to fit inside it.

I am working on a template and cutting files and will make these available to you as soon as I can!

Best wishes to everyone for a great weekend!
Tara

Hi Tara, Another beautiful piece of Art!!
    Your work is Amazing!!
I was wondering how big the letters are for the keys?
Do you remember the brand you used?
    Thank you for your time!

Hi Bonnie, Thank you for your comment! The black round 3D epoxy alphabet stickers measure about 3/8″ diameter. They are a brand from Hobby Lobby – “The Paper Studio.” Thanks again and have a good week! Tara

I’m fairly new in this industry , and wish can reach my goal one day in near future. where do you buy the “Pion Design paper”?

    1. Tara Brown

Hi Susan, I am an authorized seller for Pion Design, however, I have been in the process of making a move for the last few months so my online shop has been closed temporarily. You can go to the Pion Design site at http://www.piondesign.se to find businesses that sell Pion Design in your area. Thank you for your lovely comment – it is very much appreciated! Tara
