Stacked Luggage Trunks

Pion Design has released yet another amazing paper collection.  It’s the boy pair to “My Precious Daughter” and is called “My Beloved Son.” The colors, patterns, and images of the new My Beloved Son collection are great for little boy projects or any masculine project for that matter.  The handmade stacked luggage trunks are my first project using these sweet papers.  This project is being featured on the Pion Design blog here today.  I designed the largest of these hinged trunks to measure 7″ width x 9″ length x 3″ deep and the smallest one measures 4″ width x 6″ height x 2 1/2″ deep. Each one opens to hold photos and other keepsakes.

Here are the new “My Beloved Son” papers and you can take a closer look at them on the Pion Design webpage here

A son brings joy and happiness into every mother’s life, and there is nothing more certain than the strength of a mother’s love for her son. In dedication of all the treasured sons around the world, Pion Design is now releasing the paper collection My Beloved Son, a subtle collection filled with playfulness and appreciation.
With a son by your side you know that every moment is valuable and worth to be remembered. This collection will offer you a sophisticated mix of patterns and images such as maps, trains, airplanes and flowers to ensure that there is something suited for every crafting occasion. So welcome to preserve the milestones and adventures of your son’s life!

I am mad about this project and need to know where you got the metal air ship? And the other metal embellies that go with this paper line so nicely.

Hello! Thanks for your comment! The box corners, buckles, and clock faces with game spinners are Tim Holtz Idea-ology products. The bottom box blue compass and top box submarine and keyhole are “Explorer by Traditions” products, and the middle box heart with wings is a Spellbinders (A Gilded Life) product. The box handles are “Spare Parts” products. I found all these at Hobby Lobby. Take care!

Oh my goodness Tara, you´ve just done it again. These trunks are just sooooo gorgeous and these papers are absolutely gorgeous for the project here too. I simply HAVE to find these here right away, they´re just perfect , as I´ve just had my first grandson after having had 8 girls for 20 years. And as I
am going to make a special thing for his baptism in 3 weeks, I don´t think, I can find anything better to make it special, than these new papers here, and I also think these trunks would be perfect for him, if you don´t mind me lifting your project here? I have been putting my thinking cap on, but haven´t found THE right project yet, until I saw this here a few minutes ago, and thought this was perfect for a boy, and then I can maybe even make a minialbum to fit in the big trunk a little later with pictures from his baptism, then he could use the other two for small memorabilias, so of I go to find out, if these are in any stores here yet. I really hope so.
Thanks sooo much for always being such a huge inspiration with all your amazing and beautiful work hun. Have a wonderful week ahead.

    Dear Tara

Where can I purchase the hardware you use on your projects (i.e. the suitcase buckles and corners)?

Your work is so inspirational, it never fails to amaze me. Are the metal embellishments by pion design also?
