Stationery Box

Hello!  I have another tutorial to share with you and it can be found by stepping over to the Pion Design Blog here where it is being featured today.  The tutorial is for this Stationery Box. When the box is opened, the right side has an open box that holds cards and envelopes. I attached a lightweight clipboard clip to the left side and this can serve as a writing area.  The box is supported by Silhouette pieces of lightweight chipboard.  I made the cards and decorative trim using the Spellbinders 5X7 Reflective Moment die.  The gorgeous papers are from Pion Design’s My Precious Daughter. This stationery set is fun and easy to make and makes a wonderful handmade gift for special people in your life.

Back in May, I posted a wedding cake made of paper on my blog.  I mentioned that I had made it for a ladies lunch at my mother’s church planned for July, and that lunch was today!  My mom had a “wedding” theme for her table and I’m enclosing pictures below of her table. I only had my IPhone to take the pictures with, so the photos aren’t that good, but you can get an idea of how things looked.  There were about 12 tables with different themes, each seating 8 ladies, so there were close to 100 in attendance I would guess.  My mom’s table featured the wedding cake along with matching place cards made with Pion Design’s Flax from their Vintage Garden collection.  The place cards were also made with the Spellbinders Reflective Moment die.  As you can see, the ivory card stock and blue Flax paper exactly matched her beautiful china!  Her table was so lovely.  My sister Gina was able to be there so we enjoyed this time with our wonderful mother.

WAUW everything here again today is sooo so gorgeous Bibiana, I´m totally blown away. Your stationary box is amazing, and so beautiful, and your mothers table is overwhelming gorgeous. Who wouldn´t love such a tablesetting for their wedding? Soooooo out of the ordinary beautiful, and I just have to pick my jaw up from the floor here after seing this. Was it some kind of contest, and if so, how did she do then? She must be number one with such an awesome set up. Give her tons of roses for this, and you too ofcause as it´s you, who made the centerpiece and the placecards too, I expect. You are such a talented girl, and I´m really impressed.
