Father’s Day Book Box with cutting file

Today I’ve made a Father’s Day book box and enclosed the WPC cutting file along with instructions.  My April 16 post had this same book box except it was made for Mother’s Day. Inspiration for this project came from Wenche here.

WPC BOOK BOX CUTTING FILE   Place mouse over link and right click to “Save File” on your computer.    Then open in your machine software.

NOTE: the blue lines are “cut” lines and the red lines are “score” lines.  You will need to reduce your blade length and pressure enough to achieve just a light score for the red lines.

Your four cut and scored book pages should be folded like a fan as shown below.

Take two folded sections of differing sizes and place the top of each individual section into the matching top slots of the other size at right angles as shown and then glue each outer flap to attach.  Do the same for the other 2 sections.

Now glue together and your project should look like this when finished.

This faux book page section can then be glued onto the right side of the book included in the cutting file.  You can then decorate with tags, pockets, etc.
